Sophie Pornschlegel, new Director of Studies and Development at Europe Jacques Delors

Sophie Pornschlegel was previously Senior Policy Analyst at the European Policy Centre and project manager for Connecting Europe, a network of civil society organisations working closely with Stiftung Mercator. Sophie's expertise focuses on the rule of law, the EU's institutional design and Franco-German relations.

Sophie is a Policy Fellow at the Berlin-based think tank Das Progressive Zentrum, which focuses on just transition, teaches at Sciences Po Paris and is the author of "At the end of the established order: Rethinking political power", which will be published in Germany in November 2023. She studied political science and European affairs at Sciences Po Paris, King's College London and the London School of Economics. Sophie will therefore bring solid expertise in our research areas. 

Sophie's role will focus on the further strategic and financial development of Europe Jacques Delors, ensure the quality of the publications and contribute to the relations with the sister think tanks in Paris and Berlin.
