After a Master’s degree in European Studies from the University of Fribourg in Switzerland and an Erasmus at the Institute of European Studies of the Université Libre de Bruxelles, Lara Martelli worked at the New European Movement Switzerland, the British Embassy in Bern and the Mission of Switzerland to the European Union in Brussels. She has been the Head of communications and media relations at the Institut Jacques Delors since 2020.

Lara also attended the Scuola di Politiche fondata da Enrico Letta during its first year 2015-2016 in Rome, the Italian cousin of the Académie Notre Europe. Her working languages are French, English and Italian.

She has been a member of the Foundation Board of the Jean Monnet Foundation for Europe since 2023.
