Romain Collet joined Europe Jacques Delors in October 2024 as an Ocean Junior Policy Analyst.

Romain is a lawyer specialised in Ocean governance and Environmental Law. Prior to joining EJD, Romain was in the US at the Inter-American Institute for Justice and Sustainability (IIJS) where he got to work on plastic pollution as well as coordinated the EJ4Climate Grant Program funding projects that target underserved and vulnerable communities. Prior to this role Romain was an intern at the Marine Environment Control Support Centre (French public administration) in charge of advising French State control units at sea, where he initiated an inventory of case law relating to the protection of the marine environment.

Romain holds a bachelor’s degree in French law and Common Law as well as a master’s degree in international and European Law from University Paris X Nanterre.  He also graduated in 2022 from American University, Washington College of Law, and holds a LLM in international legal studies.
