Renaud Lassus is Executive Director, member of the Board of the Inter-American Development Bank.
From 2016 to 2021, Renaud Lassus served as Minister-Counselor for Economic Affairs at the French Embassy in the United States.
Previously, he was Assistant Secretary of the Treasury in charge of European Affairs and Macroeconomic Policy at the French Ministry of Economy and Finance from 2012 to 2015.
From 2008 to 2012, he was France's representative for trade policy.
He was campaign manager of Pascal Lamy to become Director General of the World Trade Organization in 2005.
Renaud Lassus also served in the European Commission's Delegation to the United States from 2001 to 2005.
He is the author of Le renouveau de la démocratie en Amérique (June 2020), Odile Jacob publisher, translated in English as The Revival of Democracy in America (April 2021).
He is a regular contributor to the geopolitical review Le Grand Continent.
He is also the founder and president of the association Richesses Marines, to create marine protected areas in Mediterranean waters.
Renaud Lassus is an alumnus of the Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris and the Ecole Nationale d'Administration.
