Policy Analyst

Sarah Thomas joined Europe Jacques Delors’ team in February 2023 as a Junior Policy Analyst. Mostly focused on Ocean governance, her research concerns the relationship between ocean and climate, the blue economy transition and the conservation of marine biodiversity. 

In 2022 Sarah was a legal trainee on sustainable fisheries at the NGO Seas at Risk in Brussels. Following this, she did another internship at Sciaena, a Portuguese NGO, where she focused her work on ocean plastic pollution policy, while accompanying field teams on the establishment of a marine protected area on the outskirts of the Portuguese coast. 

Graduate of an International and European Law Master Degree of the Université de Lille, Sarah focused her interest on marine conservation within the EU, through legal and political perspectives.   

Sarah is fluent in French and English.
