Lola Gernigon joined Europe Jacques Delors in September 2024 as a Policy Analyst on Ocean governance. Previously, she worked as an Accredited Parliamentary Assistant to a French Member of the European Parliament. Her work was focused on environmental, ocean and fisheries-related legislative files.
Lola holds a first Master’s Degree in International Relations and Diplomacy completed at the University of Lyon III and the University of Washington, Seattle, and a second Master’s Degree in International Public Law with a focus on Environmental law and the Law of the Sea.
She is the author of a published Master’s thesis on “The fight against marine pollution from land-based sources in Public International Law” and a legal study on “People threatened by climate change: the case of island States facing rising sea levels”.
